Submission

We invite authors to submit high-quality, original and previously unpublished contributions that explore one or more conference topics. Submitted papers (For full, short and workshop) will be assessed through a double-blind review process. Accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings.

Access and fees

DesForM 2023 publishes open access conference proceeding (ISSN 2706-6150). All proceedings are accessible without cost to scholars and universities worldwide. No library fees. No author fees. No download limits. Free to publish, free to access, free to read for all forever. There are no fees to individual authors, and authors are allowed to self-archive their work.

Contributions may be submitted in the following categories:

Full papers
(Oral presentation)

Full papers should be up to twelve pages (including references) and should present theoretical research, novel frameworks or research-through-design projects addressing the conference topics. Accepted papers will be given a 20-minute presentation slot at the conference.

Short papers
(Demonstration + Poster)

Short papers should be up to six pages (including references) and should describe actual design or art projects, which will be presented through live demos and posters during the conference. Authors of short papers are also encouraged to provide in their papers a link to download media demonstrating their results, whether images, videos, or other media types.

Workshops

Workshops should be introduced in a short paper format but with a clear indication in the title stating that it is intended for a workshop. What is proposed will lead to tangible outcomes such as prototypes, videos, models, etc. In addition to the 4 main themes of this conference we encourage workshops to explore new approaches, creative techniques and advanced technology for future design applications.

How To Submit

Please submit your proposal through the Easy-Chair platform. If you are a new user of Easy-Chair, you will be required to create an account. Once you are logged in, click again on the below link to ensure that you are visualizing the DeSForM 2023 page.

The uploaded paper must be in PDF format and if necessary, including a multimedia appendix (ZIP) including images, audio files, video demonstrations, etc., in support of the paper (supporting file types: avi, doc, docx, gif, jpeg, jpg, mov, mp3, mp4, mpg, pdf, png, wav, wmv, zip).
